About Us

Heidi Dahms Foster has been a Prescott area resident since 1966. She has been a photographer since 1975, shooting weddings, family and pet portraits and dog and horse events. Currently she specializes in pet and wildlife photography. Because she has raised and shown Shetland Sheepdogs and Australian Shepherds, Heidi is familiar with dog events and dogs in general, and that helps her bring out the best in the dogs she photographs. She also spent a good deal of her youth riding horses and participating in gymkhanas and rodeos, and she loves to photograph horses in action. With her husband Randy, she enjoys birdwatching, and likes to photograph birds in their natural habitat. In her past 27-year newspaper career, Heidi has won numerous awards for writing and photography. She has been published in the former Yavapai Magazine, the national magazine, WildBird, and is a feature writer for the Prescott and Flagstaff/Sedona Dog Magazines.
